There is nothing I enjoy more than going on a photo shoot on a beautiful sunny day, to look for that unique image that not many others would find or consider looking for. Being on the Maine coast provides a rocky landscape which often creates reflection pools that hold a special little surprise if you can find the right angle to look at. Pemaquid Point in Bristol, Maine is a spectacular example of this. This rocky Maine coast can be fun to explore, at times a little dangerous, and also a little intimidating! Being out there, with tourists and their cameras, the changing tides, and the wind is often a game of patience and looking in places others might not, for that unique photo not everyone is looking to create. All of those elements combined provided an opportunity to create this image….it took some rock climbing, some possibilities of getting wet from the surf behind, and some searching in places that others might not consider…that being looking DOWN!
If you put all of these elements together, you might find yourself stumbling upon this beautiful perspective, one that takes moving around, getting down low, waiting for the winds to die down, and the tourists to move out of the way….in the end, you might be able to capture something many others might not have thought to seek out…..Finding the reflection is much like a game of Hide-N-Seek!
